# Chuck Sexton

Founder & CEO

"I grew up poor in the river bottoms of Western KY witnessing my father struggle to find steady employment. My life's trajectory changed when a company came to town and he finally got a full-time job, giving our family hope for a better future with a steady income and the ability to afford clothes at Walmart. That experience drove me into the economic development career field with a 15 year plan to open this firm. It is why our entire team operates with passion and a drive to impact the lives of others across the United States, especially in rural communities."

Chuck Sexton is the sole Principal & CEO of Strategic Location Advisors with 25 years of experience in Economic Development, Site Selection, Industrial Supply Chain, and Strategic Planning. His time and expertise is utilized by both Corporate Site Selection and Strategic Services teams to deliver results for the firm's clients. 

Over his career, Chuck has led international recruitment and marketing efforts, entrepreneurial programs, business retention/expansion programs, rural development strategies, downtown revitalization, and more, on the local, regional, and national level.

Leadership and continuing education have been a hallmark of his career, serving as Board Chairman of multiple local, state, and national economic development organizations. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma's Economic Development Institute and attended the University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business.
