Ivy Stanley
Vice President
Stanley’s community and economic development career began in 2012 working for a small municipality in central Kentucky. It was there where she discovered her passion for helping others. As a community and economic developer, Stanley refined her grant writing/administration skills, public/media relations, public speaking, social media marketing and website content writing, and event planning skills. Additionally, she was charged with working with a variety of civic and community stakeholder groups, running the chamber of commerce and the industrial development board.
Stanley’s work brought her back to Bowling Green, Kentucky, where she worked with the 5-star accredited Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce’s economic development team for three years. With the Chamber, Stanley specialized in economic development marketing/public relations, speech writing, presentations, project proposals, grant writing, prospect visits, community tours, and planning special events for economic development job creation projects.
Following her time in Bowling Green, Stanley moved to far eastern Kentucky, where she served as the director of regional development for a 501(c)3, nine county, economic development organization. Stanley’s core responsibilities with One East Kentucky included prospective company recruitment, industrial real estate development, and building relationships among the region’s existing industries, organization investors, city and county officials, and other community stakeholders. Through her work, OEK was able to secure a $1.2 million Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) grant to support the region’s economic development efforts.
Most recently, Stanley served as the Chief Operating Officer for Next Move Group, an economic development consulting, executive search, and site selection firm, working with clients spanning the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Stanley served three years as a board member of the Kentucky Association for Economic Development (KAED), serving on the organization’s finance committee as well as the young professionals committee chair.
Stanley holds both undergraduate and master’s degrees from Western Kentucky University (’10 & ’12). Stanley was born and raised on a horse farm in central Kentucky and is the first person in her immediate family to graduate from a university. Outside of work, Stanley enjoys playing tennis, photography, baking/cooking, live music, traveling, kayaking, camping, hiking, and spending time on the farm with her family.
